Eye contact, art practice

So I'm practicing art using the most obvious subject: me.

Paper+pencil feels way more intuitive than vectors, and I think I'll just drop attempting to learn to do vector art for as long as I'd be trying to do it without a stylus.

And here's an attempt that actually tries to be less messy; I think it might be getting better? I'm mostly unsure about the bottom.

Updated title screen with a bit better hair but I think I can do better than this too. I think it's gonna look a lot better than my old title screen.

I doodled this, loosely based on the in-game player sprite (quarupled in size and redrawn, then doubled and redrawn again) and I think it could look okay if I somehow made the hair look way better. Any tips for doing that?

You can, in fact, have a chain of people following other people and form a little RPG party if you want to though it doesn't happen automatically if multiple people follow one person

Tilemap Town now supports allowing another user to follow you with a /followme

I wanted to make my Dr. Mario clone cuter and more on-theme, so have some pawprints. Possibly done and ready for entering into the compo? The deadline is very soon and I can't really think of anything that needs added. forums.nesdev.com/viewtopic.ph

Doodled these islands in Tilemap Town because I felt like making islands of some sort. I've been remembering how much I like the tropical aesthetic recently and maybe when I put in support for user-made tilesets I'll have to give it a more proper go with palm trees and such.

I think I managed to find a positive side to not getting out of the house much!

I practiced vector art a little bit and drew an Isabelle. I don't think it's very good but I've gotta make myself keep doing it if I want to get better at it.

I probably should try just drawing on paper though, since those skills would actually transfer to drawing with a tablet if I ever got one, or a touch screen.

Keyboard debris, gross

I had no idea a wireless keyboard/touchpad combo could even hold this much stuff in them. This was the heavier stuff that was left after I removed quite a bit of hair.

It's actually OK! The noodles are inconvenient but I don't care hahahaha

Hopefully my wacky freeform lasagna turns out well hahaha. It's basically the same as the other pasta I do, just with bigger noodles.

This is childhood wish fulfillment right here and I'm not gonna lie, I ate a few of these plain

forums.nesdev.com/viewtopic.ph My Dr.Mario clone's got a more squirrelly theme and music (by @maple) now. These are supposed to be trees, acorns and berries.

Very simple tortilla pizzas are still really wonderful whenever I make them. I think it's the pepperoni and all the seasoning I put on that really make it flavorful.

For giggles I added a mode that lets you swap tiles in your Dr.Mario playfield like you're playing Puzzle League.
It'd probably make sense to have as a powerup that allows you to do one swap to fix one bad placement, though having it freely available in its own mode is nice for a more relaxing game too.

Garbage is in and should be working. I guess this means versus mode is done?
