I started on an experimental tool to easily (hopefully) make WarioWare-style microgames for NES, by creating a map, placing down any number of actors on the map, and defining the behavior of each actor using a sequence of premade behavior primitives (or just assembly).
No idea if I'll go anywhere serious with it but with the right scope it *seems* pretty doable. Just I don't know if it'll be genuinely helpful to have the script thing if the assembly it produces is mostly subroutine calls.
I'm still unsure if I would ever actually want to write a SNES game that wasn't a port. On one hand I have a strong love for the console and it would be amazing, and on the other hand things would be made much more complex and difficult without much of a benefit versus making a PC game. In contrast, NES's limitations make it an interesting platform.
lost friends (~)
I actually heard back from the person who recently unadded me and cut me off and they told me it wasn't my fault and just that because of undisclosed abrupt life changes they had to leave all the people they used to roleplay with.
I suppose I can live with that, it's much better than anything my own head could've given me as a possible reason.
money
Actually went and organized all the transactions I did between today and the January 1st, 2018 because I was curious about how much I actually do spend on groceries on average based on actual data.
And the answer is $24.53/week which sounds about right. Also only ate out 16 times and it was almost exclusively Wendy's. When I manage to get a job I'm gonna stop being so stingy and just enjoy things more I suppose.
After being unsure about what my fursona would be material-wise, I'm pretty sure she's some sort of software that's taken a physical form somehow.
It would make all the video game character stuff make a lot of sense, help explain why she's so into computers, and open the door for a lot of shenanigans that sound really fun.
I'm a pretty squirrel princess who dabbles in roleplay, game development, retro game consoles, pixel art, and a variety of computery things.
