finally starting to get my head around how rpg maker's plugins work, i'm honestly impressed at how flexible the engine is
its a shame there's no official documentation for plugin development
anyway here's a "scan" type skill i slapped together using yanfly's skill core and some example code from their site,

i mean i guess i can just set retroarch to use sdl2 but the project seems to recommend using udev, and i dont see any reason that defining a controller mapping as an environment variable would break it?

i dont really understand why this is happening? everything else (dolphin, pcsx2, the unity games i set this up for) works fine, but retroarch? nah
(im setting $SDL_GAMECONTROLLERCONFIG specifically so unity games will work with my dualshock 2, as they don't seem to include any kind of autoconfig)
