yknow the plus side of my tv dying is that the monitor im borrowing doesn't have weird outlines around everything and colours actually appear right

thankfully one of my housemates had a spare lyin around that im using now but like. could've done without havin to worry about tv repair tbh

anyway i finally figured out how to make my denim skirt fit again (its too big and doubles up under any belts i wear it with) so that's neat

i got into sewing cos it's the only way i get to have clothes that fit, but at times like this dysphoria and sewing are a bad combination

its all swings and roundabouts i guess

when i make a battle vest tho u bet im adding bust darts, that extra fabric doesn't fly when there's no sleeve to keep it in place

ive been studying images of plus-size denim jackets and even on models they're still gathering around the front of the shoulder due to the lack of a bust dart

this flies in the face of everything i know about how a garment should fit and it's fucking me up but on the plus side it's nice to know that my jacket actually does fit "correctly" i guess? like, i didnt fuck up the tailoring, denim jackets Do Just Be That Way

i have esa on as background noise rn and they're running ff9 but one of the characters has the same name as me so i keep being like, "huh? me?"

@lizardsquid thanks, i'm feelin a little better now cos i've realised there might actually be a way i can put darts in after all, its just kinda frustrating to spend so long adjusting a piece of clothing then realising it needs an even bigger rework to fit properly

beating myself up over my newly-adjusted jacket not fitting perfectly even tho it didn't fit in the first place and could never be perfectly fitted without adding fabric and sewing darts in horrible places
