today in #gamedev: turns out that in unity, when an animator is transitioning between states, it's actually in both states at once
this is noted absolutely nowhere in the documentation and took me a whole day to figure out what was going on
food, capsaicin hell
my hands are still burning, im gonna try and get hold of plastic gloves to wear next time i cook with chilis cos this suuuuucks
also im liking c# a lot more than java, i guess i'd never really realised how much extra stuff it offered til i actually started wading around in it
i really shouldn't have been assigned to the examples classes, im far better at programming logic than i am at doing maths stuff and this is ALL maths

i think a lot of the problem is that i'm generating stuff procedurally so i can't really do baked light, and unity's point lights kinda suck in real time so they keep bleeding around doors
tonight in #gamedev: wow setting up lighting takes the absolute piss huh
thankful for our cradle's graces, but we're not coming back
