It turns out when you build your entire community off of "only these select few games are good and everything else is casual trash" you start to have a goddamn elitism problem!!

I don't want to play Street Fighter 4, I don't want to play Skullgirls, I don't want to play Melee, I want to sit down and play a game that doesn't hurt my fuckin hands with nonsense inputs. I don't care about your skill ceilings, I care about being able to play a single fighting game that "matters"

Also, yeah I gotta get this off my chest— fuck fighting game communities. Some of the most inaccessible bullshit I've ever seen. Melee alone makes me never want to play a fighting game ever again. fuck

I think I would jump on fighting games more if a) I didn't have horrible anxiety and b) if they didn't die after literally like 2 years

Fortnite does a really good job of looking all cool and interesting in its promotions but I'm almost positive that the game still feels like its in early access

Oh and that time that I was playing FFXIV 2.0 for the first time and got chewed out a little by a teammate for not knowing mechanics and then couldn't launch the game for like a week and a half because of panic attacks

Am I the only person who has such horrible anxiety about playing online games

Like I couldn't buy Granblue Versus day one and I had a genuine moment of "wait if I don't buy it day one then I'll be behind on learning the game and if I don't learn the game I'll never be good and if I'm never good then I can never play online because my opponents deserve a proper match"
