@ScottSoCal hey, which book of Scalzi would you recommend to a newbie? [Chatting on you cause your bio says "Read constantly." and so do I! <3]
New to Scalzi? If you're a Trekkie, read "Redshirts". It's a send-up that had me rolling on the floor. Right now I'm reading "Kaiju Preservation Society", also very funny. The "Old Man's War" series is what he's probably best known for - 6 books - but I'd hold that off for later. Fuzzy Nation is also good.
Generally, but he's an inclusive author. The one I'm reading now has many characters, most of them aren't identified specifically by gender until you're well into their development, and two of them are identified as they/them.
@ScottSoCal OK. Will keep him in mind!
