Even when heat records are being broken all over the northern hemisphere, the classics are always appropriate.

I'm getting ready to go upstairs now, but I'll leave this:

My ability to camouflage - read the alt text for the rest.:

Anti-trans Nazi hate - by homocons

If you think the anti-drag laws don't target trans lives, look at the signs used against Watertown, WI Pride.
"No child is born in the wrong body" Signs brought by people standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Swastika-flag-waving Nazis.
Guess what? If you're on the same side as the Nazis, you're a Nazi. Being gay with it just makes you a gay Nazi. If you agree with this YOU ARE NOT IN MY TRIBE.

The other day we were discussing how we respond when people ask how we're doing. This seems to fit in with that discussion.

If you're looking for something to watch relatively quickly (less than 5 hours, total) may I suggest The Book of Queer? It takes a peek under the layers of straightwashed history, in a funny way. Now streaming on Max (formerly HBO Max) I watched it this morning. I didn't regret it.

Don't display this

Seriously, don't. I saw this somewhere else, and it's just disgusting. I can't imagine the twisted mind that came up with this idea.

I need something comfortable and soothing on in the background, while I work from the couch, so I'm watching FBI agent Audrey Parker help solve all the supernatural problems in a small seaside town in Maine. For the 87th time.

I don't usually dabble with Photoshop, but this had to be made for a response somewhere else. Now I'm releasing it into the wild, to let it spread (or not) as people decide. Tags, for the people who filter out:

After the last week, I needed a comfort movie. I don't care how many times I watch it, it always makes me feel better.

What do you watch to feel better?

I bought new carpet and install for parts of my house, and it was installed today. When they showed up, they looked at everything, the lead pulled me outside to show me the roll, and explained that carpet is only sold in full rolls - I'd paid for all of it, enough to also do the two spare bedrooms. He said if I wanted to pay him some extra - in cash - they'd also clear out those rooms and install it there. I'm sure it was so they could keep the cash and not cut their boss in.
OK, that's fine.

You know those holiday commercials, where there's a new car sitting in the driveway with a bow on it, and the recipient is over-the-moon thrilled? That's a lie. I bought a new car for hubs two weeks ago, got yelled at for it, even though it's exactly the car he said he wanted while we were car shopping, and it was a great deal, and I paid for it. Finally, yesterday, he admitted the car was great. And reminded me I should have asked him about it, first.
