Realizing I'm autistic explained something about me to myself. I'm a huge Trekkie, but my favorite characters were Seven of Nine and The Doctor.
Two people trying to figure out how to human, and not quite getting it. Just like me.
After 20 years at my current job - and 20 years of evaluations that say I'm wonderful, but need to work on my communication and social skills - they've come around. I told them flat out, if you interrupt me I'll be brusque, even rude. Schedule a meeting, let me know what it's about so I can prepare, and I'll talk your ears off. Don't spring things on me.
It worked.
I used to describe myself as a hard-core introvert, but I realized in my case what's exhausting is the constant masking I'm doing, not the socializing. I love being around the (tiny, tiny number) of people I don't mask with, and it's not draining.

Whether you like Israel or not, there is no way, US politicians would come together and deliver this package without aid to Israel, simply because Israel is a strategically important ally.
What really matters is, Ukraine is getting an enormous allocation of resources now, on top of all the aid already provided from the UK, Norway Japan, and EU countries.
Russia has not been able to take Ukraine during the 6 months delay, and now really powerful weapons are coming to help Ukraine win.
