After the selection made by SS doctors 223 men & 112 women were registered in the camp. The remaining 505 people were immediately murdered in a gas chamber.

Among them was a 4-year old boy Gerard Levy.

Until fairly recently, we didn't consider it a huge accomplishment to keep the government funded for another year. That was the bare minimum Congress should be doing.

Then Republicans decided to use brinksmanship for everything, every year, no matter the circumstances.

House (and some Senate) Republicans would like nothing more than to obstruct this omnibus bill until January so that they can better obstruct it then. Which, of course, would shut down the government and the economy and stop further aiding Ukraine. Someone benefits from all that, and it isn’t any of us.

But this is what happens every time you give control of at least one house of Congress to Republicans.
