A lot of people can say they didn't fly Southwest. A lot more than want to say it.
"never forget" means we must actively remember.
Follow @auschwitzmuseum for help with that

On her birthday, we remember Star Trek actress Nichelle Nichols, one of the greats the world lost in 2022. π

Good morning everyone, from Apollo β€οΈπΎ he's keeping an eye on the weather today. He really wants to go out to the field later today .. #dogsofmastodon
You know #JohnMastodon enjoys a hearty stein of Beef Fizz after a long day in the Federation mines
@condalmo @robinhood
It's beef-a-licious!
@Standplaats_KRK
This made me think: I bet someone could use a Raspberry Pi interface to connect a telegraph key to a computer, and use Morse Code to talk to the computer.
Now I want to see that done.
@ScottSoCal this is my first taste of a kinda smart watch and I already had to look and see if I could install some kind of Linux on it but that's a hard no lmao. I really like the idea of having access to all that stuff on your wrist though. just the Spotify controls and weather is as mind blowing as when I got my first Sony Ericsson flip phone with a web browser π
@nocash
Well, if that's a road you decide to go down, my recommendation is the TicWatch3 Pro GPS. It does a lot of the health monitoring (heart rate, activity, etc.), the battery lasts a couple of days between charges, and it's fully integrated with Android phones.
If you've got an iPhone, you'd want an Apple watch, obviously. Nothing will integrate with an iPhone except an Apple Watch.
@nocash
I have a TicWatch3, so it does just about everything my phone does, but on my wrist. I missed that, wearing the Fitbit.
@PaulSchleifer
What do you do when your leopard outgrows the storage jar, and wants revenge, because you kept it in a jar?
@shaman
"And for me, hereβs the bottom line: With these systems aiding brave Ukrainian troops, the Russians probably cannot win this war."
Palantir is a project of Peter Thiel, who has demonstrated over and over where his sympathies lie. I wouldn't trust them. I certainly wouldn't trust my country's fate to them.
@marcas
For most of the people I've known who call themselves "conservative", it's the idea that society peaked at some point in the past, and it can't be allowed to change, going forward.
@tomwatson
I'm never sure where to land on things like this, because I don't have all the information, and I relate it to what happened to Harris.
She got crap nationally because of arguments she'd put forward as CA AG, but I live in CA, and she did it because she was the AG, and it was her job.
@nocash
I bought a Fitbit, but found I prefer my old smartwatch and the Oura ring. The Fitbit gathers dust, somewhere.
So... me. Work in aerospace, more space, not as much aero. Can fix my own car, choose not to. Can fix the random appliance of your choice. Hardcore introvert in person, which is why I love online. Lifelong science fiction fan. Read constantly. Scalzi is my favorite author, because he mixes exactly the right amount of snark into his writing. Together with a guy 30+ years, married since it was legal. Own a home in CA and don't plan to leave unless I immigrate to another country.
