So... me. Work in aerospace, more space, not as much aero. Can fix my own car, choose not to. Can fix the random appliance of your choice. Hardcore introvert in person, which is why I love online. Lifelong science fiction fan. Read constantly. Scalzi is my favorite author, because he mixes exactly the right amount of snark into his writing. Together with a guy 30+ years, married since it was legal. Own a home in CA and don't plan to leave unless I immigrate to another country.

Can any Galaxy/Android users help me understand why, when I text short videos to my parents from my iPhone, the videos are tiny and super pixelated? Seems like this didnβt happen with friends who had Android. Theyβre on an unlimited data plan so this isnβt a concern. I understand the current war between iMessage and RCS, green and blue bubbles, etc., but is this the reason or is this a possible setting on their phones? #android #sms #messenger #rcs

Short answer: Apple doesn't play well with others
Longer answer: When iphones can't text in their preferred (proprietary to Apple) format, they convert to what they consider a universal format. And your textees get grainy, tiny videos.

Whoever the drop-in "how very dare you!" drama queen was got blocked. I'm not here for that energy.

People really suck
That's all
@scorpiosoul9 True. But some of us suck in the good way.

It's a nothing-burger, but the only people who buy that the two situations are like are rabid TFG acolytes.
Ugh this βBidenβs classified documents thingβ is making me depressed. βBoth sidesβ is a drug that the major media just canβt quit. #politics

There is a video I wonβt retweet where two #Ukrainian soldiers are killed after being clearly confused about who was holding a gun on them. #Russians are wearing Ukrainian uniforms for the attack. This is a war crime.
This week, a bailiff stopped me and acted as though I was in the wrong place as I walked through a portion of the courthouse that is restricted to attorneys and judges.
I'm an attorney. I was wearing a suit and conducting myself just like every other attorney in that area.
This is not the first time that has happened. I can think of several other instances in various counties where courthouse security has assumed that my black skin means I must not be an attorney.
I'm tired of it.
Always a Republican, when it actually happens.

We just installed a 10KW system, here in SoCal. Unusually cold, cloudy, rainy, but even on the darkest days it generates some power. This summer it'll power the house and the EV, and I plan to install some house batteries for it.
Celebrating one year of rooftop solar in rainy Seattle!
It generated 80% of our annual electricity. In the last 9 months we paid $50 total in electric bills, inclusive of EV charging. Rooftop solar lowers energy costs, reduces emissions and helps protect sensitive landscapes.
Inflation has fallen for six straight months. And Biden's first two years in office were the two strongest years of job growth in history. Pass it on.

Google Maps Street View shows Ukraine before Russia invaded and destroyed. You can see what it was - what it should still be - and what Putin has done.
