Anyone who thinks Republicans will blink on the debt ceiling might want to think again. This is the party that wants to abolish the IRS, deregulate anything that stands in the way of profit and is looking to establish a new world order.

To them this represents an opportunity not a problem to be solved. It’s likely the only key item of legislation over which the can exert real pressure and they are not averse to burning down the house.

Just saw a TikTok from a guy who used to be an anti-vax Republican, who changed his stance after getting long COVID. He now uses his platform to combat misinformation.

And hey, props to him for changing his mind and trying to do good but: he didn’t care about it until it effected him personally. That is the mindset that has brought us into the fourth year of this shit.

You can’t individualize your way out of a public health issue. Like it or not, you’re the public
