A skirt precisely one inch above the knee, in the loudest pattern I can find. A high-necked T-shirt with no writing, possibly with holes in - this does not seem to be specified. Men's shoes, with socks. Neon ones preferably. Plus leggings worn as a hat.

When I get impatient that my doggo wants to sniff everything on our walks, I remember that this is his social media and he’s just doomscrolling.

The 117th Congress was Democratic with President Biden signing bills into law. Congress was able to pass a $35 monthly cap on insulin for Medicare patients and some other limited price controls on prescription drugs, but it doesn't help privately insured or uninsured patients. Unfortunately, there's still the filibuster and not even all 50 Senate Democrats (we have 51 now ​) are fully on board with all pharma bills. (The Manchin family has pharma involvement, of course.)

Here comes California to the rescue with a plan to make its own insulin. Insulin is cheap to make but the three big pharma companies keep finding ways to extend their patents by creating new delivery methods. California plans to hire state employees to make the insulin and sell it at cost. (Good state jobs!). California can then sell it to other states. There's precedent; Massachusetts makes its own vaccines.

Pharma claims it likes competition but wait for the lawsuits.

Good morning, the empty bookshelves in Florida schools keep my head busy, since I'm a teacher with a library in my classroom in Berlin myself. That's a history lesson in front of our very eyes and exactly how fascism started in Germany. Books were banned and then burnt and everyone said, well, I can't do anything, I don't want to loose my job, I don't like it, but... Many little steps were made by many little people who didn't stand up against a new little rule. You know how this ends.
