Drag queens and trans men/women are not hurting children.
Gay men/women are not hurting children.
You know whatβs/whoβs hurting children?
Guns
Trusted adults
Bullies
Poverty
Hunger
Lack of access to healthcare
No one to talk to about problems
Opiate overdoses
The list goes on.
Stop trying to play with peopleβs emotions by hiding your prejudice behind the guise of protecting children.
This is exactly why I'm such a staunch advocate for #TheOxfordComma.

@Mlobbes Reminds me of a high school friend that says shit like, "I think discrimination is terrible and I'm sorry that's happened to you, but no one should be forced to do something against their religion."
#RepublicansInDissaray
First they came for Elmo
Then they came for your voting rights
Next they came for our #trans friends

I got an invite to one of those neighborhood sites, and yeah, that's pretty much all it was. Posting pictures of "stranger danger" and panic.
Beware of the "other".
@f00fc7c8 have you ever lurked in neighborhood groups or on NextDoor? It's a real eye-opener. People love having the ability to constantly record their property. They are terrified of their neighbors and anyone that comes to their door.
I can't tell you how many people think it's fine to call the cops on salespeople, delivery people, anyone on their street who looks "suspicious" because they don't recognize them or because Black/brown.
Third time's a charm as I shop around for a Twitter alternative. I've tried Hive Social, Post, and now I'm hoping that Mastodon is my new hangout.
I mostly post about my virtual adventures as a kids author doing online presentations, but I have an interest in local politics in my home city of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I'm sometimes snarky, but I try to be fair and funny.
This video will give you a little idea of my kid author persona.
My brother got called into HR at work today, because he was having a private conversation with someone else about the fact that they give Chick-fil-A giftcards as incentives, and he won't use them because that company is homophobic.
Conservatives are such snowflakes that the truth hurts their feelings.
Sorry #Terminator but for most #maga cultists your amazing message will never be understood.
They passed already the point of no return.
So... me. Work in aerospace, more space, not as much aero. Can fix my own car, choose not to. Can fix the random appliance of your choice. Hardcore introvert in person, which is why I love online. Lifelong science fiction fan. Read constantly. Scalzi is my favorite author, because he mixes exactly the right amount of snark into his writing. Together with a guy 30+ years, married since it was legal. Own a home in CA and don't plan to leave unless I immigrate to another country.
