SoCal is getting rain again. And then again. And then again. Freeways are closing due to mudslides, evacuations are being ordered in flood prone areas, dam spillways are being opened to make room for the new water coming, and we're officially out of drought.
More than that; if your bank managers aren't able to walk and chew gum at the same time, maybe it's time to consider a new bank. They clearly don't have the horsepower to meet the requirements of their positions.
Or perhaps, just perhaps, the nationโs supposedly leading business newspaper would have better seen these failures coming if they had focused more on market, economic, and business conditions and less on obsessively rooting out the woke menace of women, people of color, LGBTQ people, and veterans(!) gaining token admission to the corridors of power and wealth.

After the repeated mendacity and hostility from UK gov't officials, a gov't that got re-elected twice after Brexit, no one trusts the UK not to be evil and dishonest at everyone's expense, even against their own self-interest.
A collapsing economy and society would not be an asset to the EU, unfortunately.
