I have an allotment. It's good because you don’t need to know much; there’s always some old geezer around to ask for advice.

This morning I went up to plant my first early potatoes. On my neighbour’s plot was a young woman in her 30's who had been sent to plant some onion sets, and she didn’t know how. So I spent a few minutes taking her through it and showing her the onions I’d planted on Friday as an example.

After she’d gone, I suddenly realised …

I'm a bumbling New Englander in San Antonio who didn't realize homes here don't always come with heat, accidentally rented an apartment with no HVAC, and have been alternating between boiling hot and freezing cold ever since!

I’ve lost count of people saying there’s no point voting as “they’re all the same”. Depressing to say the least.
But the current system is not sustainable.

If you think there's nothing you can do personally to help trans people, consider this one thing.

When people respect the pronouns of trans and non-binary teens, it reduces their risk of suicide by almost half.

Do it. And tell everyone you know. That simple one-word difference that costs them nothing could save life.
