I've never seen a recipe that explains how tasting the salt and pepper affects the dish. Is this one of those quantum things? My mental state affects the reality of the prepared food?
Best Ever Filet Mignon
Ingredients
4 (6 ounce) filet mignon
Kosher salt, to taste
ground black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
4 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon rosemary, roughly chopped
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Allow steak to sit out on the counter for about 30 minutes, bringing it to room temperature.
Place it on a cutting board and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides....
