Do any #neuroscience experts know:

Does the #eye absorb photons when they enter a sort-of pupil→nerve transformer and change them into neurons?

Or;

Does the #photon beat off the receptors like a drum skin, transferring the energy via the cones to a nested neuter/protoneuron, creating an image carrying messenger neuron?

Many thanks, I'm not remotely educated in any of this so your help is really appreciated, as the two mechanisms are very different (I'm sure you'd agree).

I owned, and beat, this game when I was in high school. It captured my heart and I couldn't stop playing. It was a relief to learn there was a 2nd version of the game available after beating the 1st, because it meant I could keep playing the game I loved.
