@ScottSoCal Gotcha. The Dispatcher books are still great stuff. I recommend giving them a read if you havenβt.
Not related in any way to your post, this handy little tool will let you deal with the valve inside your tire's valve stem, the little valve that keeps air in them. So small it fits in your pocket, and available at most auto parts supply stores for less than $5. If that valve gets loose, the air can leak out and leave you stranded. Useful tool to have around.
βοΈπ€π Good morning. The calm invitation to a new day with your presence is a blessing to us all. I've prepared a warm and delicious coffee for you. Know that you matter, that you are loved. Thank you for existing. May this day bring you strength, perseverance, health and many smiles. ππ«π€

#ElectionDay Heading to the polls to get my 'I Voted' sticker. Well, in about 1-1/2 hours.
I like to stop in on my way to work.
A strong next generation is precisely what Republicans don't want to see in the young
They want murderously insane child soldiers like Kyle Rittenhouse, not inspirational & smart children like Amanda Gorman
They want a next generation as simply consumers, not citizens
They want underpaid serf labor hopelessly mired in apathy & despair
They want addicts, to violence, to rage
They want the next generation saddled with debt; student loans & mortgages
They want a Nazi do-over
Brain and brain! What is brain?
@ScottSoCal By the way, have you listened to The Dispatcher books on Audible? Read by Zachary Quinto. Theyβre fantastic.
I can't listen to someone read, my mind wanders and I lose the plot.
@ScottSoCal @adhdeanasl weβve had an Aeropress, some beans, and a hand grinder in our bugout bag/quake kit ever since the big Ridgecrest quakes in β19.
@ScottSoCal We have a French press in the cupboard and an extra maker in the basement, but our only grinder is electric. *makes note to find a hand grinder*
All I ask for is a nativity scene featuring ants with baby Jesus as a larvae and everyone gets all up in arms about how it's "weird" and "sacrilegious"
But think about it... Joseph could be a drone and he and Mary would have wings... the animals would be aphids, and inquiline crickets... the wise women could be queens of the rare and strange species like polyrachis and a weaver queen.
I DON'T understand the problem!
I keep a spare in the cupboard, and a french press and hand coffee bean grinder in the earthquake kit.
If I'm going to face the apocalypse, I'm facing it caffeinated.
