Together with a guy 30+ years, married since it was legal. Own a home in CA and don't plan to leave unless I immigrate to another country.

How many accidents are you having that you need your insurance company's app on your phone?
Small lottery win, car damaged.
Work bonus, fridge dies.
Tax refund, root canal. (current)
Etc etc etc π
I have way too many such examples, where any small gain is immediately clawed back.
And while I am grateful for the times I have been allowed to almost break-even by a perceived windfall and I marvel at the timing, as if the universe was looking out for me in some small way..

A prosecutor in (IIRC) NYC previously said Jr was too stupid to prosecute. I hope that isn't the same finding here.
Suggestion: When inviting people, elected officials, celebrities, journalists, news services, public institutions, etc., to Mastodon, be sure to include a link to #Mastodon or an instance you recommend. It may sound like spoon-feeding, but making it as easy as possible for people in the moment they are thinking about it does help.

Raised by Birchers in Utah, and probably would still be one, but I had the great luck to be born gay, which forced me to re-examine everything I'd been taught.
All work meetings should be scheduled at least one week in advance because it takes that long to properly ramp up the meds.

Since the beginning of the Biden administration, I've been pushing HHS to extend ACA, Medicaid, and CHIP access to DACA recipients who were unfairly excluded.
Today, the admin. announced that DACA recipients will soon be eligible for the same care as their neighbors. Thank you, President Biden, for this welcome news and for providing DACA recipients with access to the affordable care they need.
