Whether I'm pro- or anti- cannibalism really depends on the cannibal. I don't want to judge a whole group of people based on one trait.
We're seeing a large influx of new users, so here's some helpful Mastodon tips:
1. Liking a post does not affect its visibility. Instead, use the like button to let a user know that you find them to be irresistibly attractive and would like to become their internet soulmate.
2. Instead of saying orthodontist on here, we say mastodontist. This is important to know.
3. Tell us about yourself! Write either "pro-cannibalism" or "anti-caniballism" in your bio to avoid simple misunderstandings.
Republicans are the party of government overreach. They want to control what you read and think, your sex life, and, if you need an abortion or are transgender, whether you can obtain necessary medical care.
Iβm with the party that wants to protect those freedoms for all of us along with the freedom to read. #ElectDemocrats

This is Walter, named for Walter Payton of the Chicago Bears. Itβs a 1966 Chevy half ton pickup truck purchased for $360 by my oldest son Ryan in 2000 when we lived in Kansas. He was 14, had his learnerβs permit and had money he earned delivering newspapers and mowing lawns. I had to teach him the fine art of shifting a βthree on the tree.β After Ryan was KIA in Iraq, Walter was restored to how Ryan planned to have it done. I take it to car shows when possible because my boy would if he could.
We need to act NOW!
And, no, everything will NOT be fine...

I don't even care if he would - prosecuting TFG is the right thing to do. He violated his oath of office, he harmed (and continues to harm) the country, he needs to be prosecuted.
Have you ever asked yourself what you would be done in 1840-1860 or 1940-1960 regarding slavery and civil rights?
You're doing it.
As Juneteenth approaches, I find myself filled with reflection more than celebration. This has not been a good year for my family or myself. It's been a battle against racism, flat out, in workplaces and in public services.
Racism is frustrating. It isn't something that I can opt-in or opt-out of either. It's ever present and insidious. It is a drain on mental and physical health.
I don't normally link to Vox, but I read this article and was like "yup" - https://www.vox.com/race/23739082/discrimination-racism-black-people-time-juneteenth
This is Forever in a Seashell.
I'm having a low day and in need of knowing my art isn't pointless, so I'm uploading a spoken word audio that is yet to be finally edited amd hope it will mean something to someone. It's about when feelings overlap in a relationship, when boundaries are unclear and both partners don't know how to overcome a difficulty in their relationship and the effects of it on their mental health. I'd love to hear your thoughts β€οΈ
So... me. Work in aerospace, more space, not as much aero. Can fix my own car, choose not to. Can fix the random appliance of your choice. Hardcore introvert in person, which is why I love online. Lifelong science fiction fan. Read constantly. Scalzi is my favorite author, because he mixes exactly the right amount of snark into his writing. Together with a guy 30+ years, married since it was legal. Own a home in CA and don't plan to leave unless I immigrate to another country.
