Radio waves and microwaves, yes, they work very much like ocean waves. Planets generate their own "sound" in radio waves. They amplify and cancel each other, all over the universe.
Gamma bursts are different, because they're charged particles.

Is this rhetorical, or are you looking for an answer?
I wonder, do the radio waves and microwaves and whatnot that astronomers receive from space have similar layers and harmonics to the sound waves we hear on earth? And, can you hear two gamma bursts or whatever interfere with each other as their waves cross paths, the way that the sound from separate ocean waves interact on the shore?

@dmacphee itβs insane that weβve reached a point where millions of people think that the right way to reach truth in medicine is for a doctor to go on the radio and debate a comedian.

I wrote about why Twitter has become a national security threat, and how its owner keeps making decisions that help violent autocrats and harm democracies around the world. Currently, Musk is not only re-platforming Kremlin-linked accounts β heβs amplifying them, despite Russiaβs continued involvement in war crimes and the distribution of terroristic content.

Time travel is hard to write about - it just about requires leaving logical loopholes, and hand-waving away a bunch of very real issues.
The books that have done it successfully (IMO) are the ones who embraced either the metaphor (ignore logic) or the reality (everything gets broken).
Example:
For you to exist, 1 sperm (and only that one) had to win a fight against 350,000,000 others. If your parents waited a day to conceive, you wouldn't exist. Time travel ruins everything.
So... me. Work in aerospace, more space, not as much aero. Can fix my own car, choose not to. Can fix the random appliance of your choice. Hardcore introvert in person, which is why I love online. Lifelong science fiction fan. Read constantly. Scalzi is my favorite author, because he mixes exactly the right amount of snark into his writing. Together with a guy 30+ years, married since it was legal. Own a home in CA and don't plan to leave unless I immigrate to another country.
