trans stuff, please boost for more responses
Trans women and AMAB non-binary people on HRT, did you/do you get symptoms similar to menstruation pain?
I know it happens, but I'm also curious how common it is. And scientific study of effects of transition on the body is still not robust enough for me to get a glimpse of trans people's experiences from there.
Dear Americans
Not a single news outlet aired President Biden's event at the White House just now where he announced over $40 BILLION in investments to expand broadband across America.
When will President Biden get the coverage & credit he deserves? This is why our media fails all of us.
Thank you, President Biden!
From a day on the coast at #SantaCruz #California around 17 years ago. The first time I saw people #surfing in person.

There used to be a federal law that capped interest rates. Reagan got rid of that. Thanks, Ron.
βAmericans now owe nearly $1 trillion in credit card debt, a record high, according to the most recent data from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Interest rates on credit cards are also at historic levels, at more than 20%.β https://apple.news/A1899KkivR_ujCW7TRvqjYQ
My psychiatrist on Friday told me that 'there's a stigma around autism', which led to me loudly informing him that I've been living with a stigma my whole life and not having a label did nothing to prevent that.
As you say, just existing was already enough to upset NT people. Being oneself and being accepted felt like conflicting goals.
Best cover of a song, ever.
I prefer cards without RFID themselves either, and that very aspect impacted which credit cards I ended up relegating and shifting towards using others, back when it was still novel and I could get cards from different issuers that hadn't implement them.
In other words, financial institutions effectively lost my business by putting RFID on their cards and not offering options without when I called and asked...lol
Your post made me think of The Sims, which I haven't played in years, and now I find out it's free.
I may need to buy a desktop PC, to hook up to my TV.

Hi, I go by Critter or Chris, I'm 21, he/him (mostly). I'm #ActuallyAutistic, #polyamorous, #bisexual, and #trans. I'm also a #furry.
I'm very much a tech enthusiast, although currently all the "programming" I can do is HTML and CSS! I'm working on learning Python. I'm a big fan of #FOSS, but I've yet to actually contribute to a project!
I love #drawing (and developing OCs!), guinea pigs, deer, rabbits, cats, and birds! I play an awful lot of video games, like #Fallout and #TheSims.
It's Monday, but I'm already leaning into the weekend. After weeks - months - of non-stop, this is going to be a 4 day weekend three of them just me and the animals, followed by a 3 day work week.
I hope to add to my spoon collection before we get back to our regularly scheduled insanity.
@steppeBow @RosethornRangerTTV @actuallyautistic It seems you're mixing up multiple aspects. The post is about self-diagnosis rather than medication. That is perfectly fine without an official label, which can be problematic as those labels are part of a system that tries to put everyone into boxes, one way or another.
βTomorrowβs Lestoilβ, 1968 ad, Noxell Corporation.
I love this view of life in the future, where women have weak necks requiring neck braces and the Lestoil of the future is so toxic it requires a full body hazmat suit.
Me when I'm ovulating:
Random Guy: Hey! How you doing? You wanna hear all about my life?
Me: Why tf are you talking to me? *pops in earbuds*
RG: Hey! Pay attention to me! I'm talking to you!
Me: *ignores* Jams out to music
Another Random Guy: Hey! Over here! Can you tell me if this is the bus that gets you there?
Sign: *Bus that gets you there*
Me: Can't you read? π€¨π Can't you see that I have my "Leave me the fuck alone" gear on?
So... me. Work in aerospace, more space, not as much aero. Can fix my own car, choose not to. Can fix the random appliance of your choice. Hardcore introvert in person, which is why I love online. Lifelong science fiction fan. Read constantly. Scalzi is my favorite author, because he mixes exactly the right amount of snark into his writing. Together with a guy 30+ years, married since it was legal. Own a home in CA and don't plan to leave unless I immigrate to another country.
