Yes. I saw posts in late 2016 that celebrated The Revolution that was sure to come, because things would be intolerable, and it was inevitable.
They were sort of right. There was an uprising. Just not the one they expected.

I avoid that by using one of these. This morning my shower was 95F, start to finish. Same as yesterday, and same as tomorrow's will be.
Something I just realized is probably a result of childhood autism:
I wasn't allowed to "fidget", so I developed other habits. One that I did a lot was bending one of my fingers into my clenched fist - I did it enough that I changed the bone formation, and that finger (on both hands) curves in. I think that was probably stimming.

4 yrs ago today, instead of going straight from my car into Marshall's to buy sneakers, I veered off into the PetCo next door. They were having an adoption event. ZOMG THERE WERE PUPPIES EVERYWHERE. I was defenseless. I brought this beautiful 9 month old orphaned bebe home with me. (She had survived parvo but her mama hadn't.)
