#Goodmorning π₯
what gruesome news to wake up to... π₯Ίπ£
My heart goes out to all my fellow ND in the US rn πππ
...and to the women, LGBTQI, BLM and all the others whose lives will be affected by this.
A tiny part of me still hopes for the still uncounted early ballots but if there will miraculously be a turnaround, it's going to be way too close...
I feel so helpless, there is nothing I can do.
I can only be.
So, I'll be. Here. ππ«π₯
re: USpol - how to get a passport
I have one, and it'll be good through the fall of democratic society in the country.
USpol - how to get a passport
If you need to get a passport in the US, look here

Except the ones who didn't.
There's this weird Venn diagram of conservative, religious and homesteading (the community-rejecting weird racist survivalist type) obsession with sewing and crafts, so a lot of the time when you look up any kind of sewing tutorial or sewing product review, there's always the possibility that the seemingly nice and polite white woman doing the video is a Super Karen.
So every time you click on a video title and the presenter is a black woman? Such a good and warm fuzzy flood of relief!
Haven't been online much, been saving my energy for work. But yesterday I found out I'm going to England for a week, and I'm flipping between panic and shutdown.
Street view of Google Maps, to see where I'll be going (hotel and work). Getting familiar with sights, building, landmarks. Planning, planning, planning, even though I know it won't go 100% to plan. Researching the topics I'll be expected to cover, and the history of the program contract.
Belief systems that are based on an incomplete understanding of observed reality are fine with me. It's at least aiming for truth. Belief systems that refute observed reality are damaging. Any time they tell you to have faith instead of believing what you see, they lose me.
Atheist, Antitheist, and Antireligionist
I am an atheist (lack belief in or rejection of god$).
I am an anti-theist (rejection of or see theism as harmful, ie. belief in god$ or the concepts themselves as harmful).
I am an anti-religionist (rejection of or see religion as harmful, ie. all religion or religious philosophy is harmful including ones without gods).
This is not full definitions just quick examples.
Iβm no fan of AI, but AI David Attenborough narrating a Cybertruckβs symbiotic lifestyle is pretty damn funny.
Ukrainian #fencer Olha Kharlan auctions gold-winning saber to fund cutting-edge military equipment
The saber that secured #Ukraine gold in Paris #Olympics will now fund βShaBliaβ turrets, remote-controlled systems for machine guns. These turrets can protect machine gunners by allowing remote operation up to 100 meters (328 feet) away.
Less organized, in some cases.
One of Germanyβs largest employers announces to boycott #Tesla because of Elon Muskβs behaviour:
"Elon Musk makes no secret of his support for Donald Trump. Trump has repeatedly described climate change as a hoax - this stance is in stark contrast to Tesla's mission to contribute to environmental protection through the production of electric cars
For this reason, ROSSMANN will no longer purchase Tesla vehicles for its fleet in the future."
Good morning friends!
Nope. Am tired today.
Anyway. To make it short - one of my short stories (Gamma Zaria) is in The Neurodiversiverse: Alien Encounters which is available today.
This is the prequel to one of my other short stories, written at least a decade ago.
Before I began the journey to understand me better. Long before I recognized myself as being autistic.

I will also share this on my writing profile.
Just realizing what it means to be marginalized: for my whole life, my mere existence has offended someone. When I was younger it was because I was not white, not Christian (the first could not be changed, but the second caused a lot of my βfriendsβ to try to baptize me). Now itβs because Iβm a woman that is a successful computer scientist. If someoneβs mere existence challenges your world view/makes you uncomfortable or upset, you might be a bad person!!
So... me. Work in aerospace, more space, not as much aero. Can fix my own car, choose not to. Can fix the random appliance of your choice. Hardcore introvert in person, which is why I love online. Lifelong science fiction fan. Read constantly. Scalzi is my favorite author, because he mixes exactly the right amount of snark into his writing. Together with a guy 30+ years, married since it was legal. Own a home in CA and don't plan to leave unless I immigrate to another country.
