Taliban banning women from going to school has nothing to do with Islam. (Even in Saudi women have been attending college for decades.) It's 100% about controlling women the same way GOP banning reproductive freedom in US is not about Christianity, it's about controlling women (FYI no Muslim country, except for the Taliban regime, has banned girls from getting an education. What the Taliban is doing is an insult to the principles of Islam!!)

It's possible they're not actively blowing you off they may just not be able to verbalize how they cope with it. They've dealt with it their entire lives. I'm sure they've developed all kinds of coping mechanisms at an age so early they didn't consciously think about it, they just did it.
I came out as gay in the late 1970s, in Utah. Yeah, I had to cope. No, I can't explain all the ways I cope, they've just been a part of me for decades.

My office desk plant tried that, but I came to work armed with scissors and successfully fought back. It won't be trying that again, but I kept the scissors, just in case.
Our monstera is getting huge and itβs growing tentacles and my wife says they are βair rootsβ and I donβt know that sounds like something a plant growing tentacles would tell her to say.
