Or even under 40. One of the best writers I worked with two years ago was a former journalist over 60. Especially for TV, experience, parenthood, other careers and a fully lived life are huge pluses for interesting and authentic storytelling.

I'm uncomfortable reinforcing the idea that a successful transition hinges on how well someone is able to pass.
