So... me. Work in aerospace, more space, not as much aero. Can fix my own car, choose not to. Can fix the random appliance of your choice. Hardcore introvert in person, which is why I love online. Lifelong science fiction fan. Read constantly. Scalzi is my favorite author, because he mixes exactly the right amount of snark into his writing. Together with a guy 30+ years, married since it was legal. Own a home in CA and don't plan to leave unless I immigrate to another country.

A friend of mine puts blood, sweat and tears into everything he does.

Hi, I'm Laurens Hof (he/him)(π³π±), and I write the Fediverse Report at https://fediversereport.com and @fediversereport@mastodon.social
Excited about finding all the new possibilities that the #fediverse gives, and to see how other people are using it.
Other hobbies include: boardgames (Gloomhaven!), books, cats, cooking, homebrewing, social activism and coops (ran a coop for bike repair once), crypto skeptics and shitposting
Cat in profile picture is my owner.

HIMEM.SYS and EMM386.EXE
Had to love that config.sys file, it's how you got access to RAM higher than 640K
Boost this if you ever had to manage naming your computer files using only eight characters, plus the three character extension.

Cawthorne made even my gaydar ping, and it hasn't worked for years. And that was before the videos surfaced of him face-f**king his cousin, and his "assistant" groping his crotch. I'd bet money he's going to be Aaron Schock, Rev. 2.
@DemocracyMatters I will never forget this! π
Ps: I tried to describe the photo but I can't so
"A photo of madison cawthorn on the left duplicating the pose Hitler did on the picture on the right"
β οΈThe Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs has started to form assault brigades called the Offensive Guard, under the direction of Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko. These brigades are open to volunteers and are intended to strengthen the Defense Forces and liberate the territories of Ukraine that are currently under occupation.
For #BlackHistoryMonth, let's remember Bayard Rustin.
The civil rights leader, when he is remembered at all these days, is remembered for brilliantly organizing the 1963 March on Washington.
Not everyone appreciated his pioneering approach to intersectionality - and as a gay man, he was sometimes seen as a liability.
His biographer makes a case for Rustin as the signature radical voice during the 20th century

Small things are sometimes worth the world.
Just got an amazing gift from @joqatana: A suncatcher made with one of my late friend #DavidCrosby's guitar strings. Thank you, Jo, I deeply appreciate it. π #music
