I’m a newly out trans girl doing teaching and research in computer algorithm design at UT Dallas. I’m married to a wonderful and supportive wife, and I have two young boys.

When I get a moment to myself, I like to play video games, mostly metroidvanias, RPGs, and puzzle games. I did a lot of swing dancing when I lived in Illinois, but kind of burned myself out. I’m also a giant math and programming languages nerd.

I have little over 100 songs I wrote and want to produce. I also do my own strings, piano and voice arrangements. I sat by an election denier on the airplane and he started poking me in the arm to be emphatic about his views on people stealing ballots secretly and the airplane was full and I couldn’t move anywhere so I started explaining the yellow fever in very great detail, all the way down to telling him about the bloody vomit that looks like coffee grounds and it worked. He stopped talking to me. The moral of this story is you can’t out-weird an academic; our toolset is too vast. #vastearlyamerica
