Recently I have also become #uap curious https://projects.iq.harvard.edu/galileo
Currently I'm paying a lot of attention to the invasion of Ukraine, the pandemic, the rise of fascism, disinfo, cyber badness, and how to tip the environment toward species survival. Send cats.

re: homophobia, social anxiety and -mh
There's one home you'll always have - you. Accept yourself for who you are.
homophobia, social anxiety and -mh
my mom once told me that i feel like an alien that came on earth and can't blend in with humans well.
while i am certain that i am native to earth, i find that...there is something about what she said.
i don't really belong to any people.
i am kazakh but due to the consequences of cultural imperialism and the fact i grew up in a russian speaking neighborhood, i am largely detached from my culture, even despite trying to find it again
i don't belong to the community of english speaking people either because i am a foreigner, i don't speak english well, and in general, our social experiences are so different i simply fear i will always be an outlier.
i don't belong among average people because to them i am too weird. or too radical. too gay. too strange. i don't belong among my family because they are queerphobic. i don't belong to anybody irl because people who even claim to be allies are not actually allies.
not to mentioned im neurodiv and socially awkward and anxious.
i don't know what my home is.
Your posts are exquisite. Verbal art, in digital form.
Nice enough? I can trowel it on thicker, if you want.
Our country grieves the victims of yet another senseless mass shooting, this time in Louisville.
2023 has seen more mass shootings than days.
This cannot continue to be our reality. #GunReformNOW
Where the fuck does one move as a trans person in Europe these days? I know that, technically, a lot of countries are oh-so transfriendly. But I also know that under the surface layer, that is often utter lies and bullshit. And I am so fucking over it.
ETA: Boosts welcome! I always forget to say that π
No. The center of the top is a very heavy piece of 3/4" (1.9cm) thick glass. Over the years, the weight of it has caused that curve.
As I said, it was supposed to be a make-do until we found something better. π
I wonder how many religions and firmly held beliefs were started because of someone treating a night terror as a sacred truth and not just your half asleep brain misfiring
But first the SCOTUS will have to be fixed, because their radical misinterpretation of the 2nd amendment will be used to strike down any gun safety laws Congress passes.
We are 100 days into 2023.
Todayβs mass shooting in Louisville, KY has left 5 people dead & is the 146th mass shooting of 2023.
We don't have to live like this.
Republicans have loudly admitted, "We're not going to fix this," proving once again that Republicans claim government doesn't work, then get elected & prove it.
Vote the GOP out. Vote in Dems who will pass actual and proven gun safety legislation. Protect our nation.
Gym Jordan: Ethics are just window dressing to keep the rabble appeased.
I just noticed that I have over 2,300 toots. So, here's a picture. I toot a lot. This sunrise was great!

Unfuckingbelievable.
"Allison allegedly pulled a handgun and fired one shot, which went through the door and struck Haleβs 5-year-old daughter in the leg [...] Hale then reportedly pulled out a handgun and fired several shots, [...] One of the bullets hit the 14-year-old [...] Both men then stopped their vehicles and began arguing."
My child has just been shot, but the most important thing is for me to win this argument.
So... me. Work in aerospace, more space, not as much aero. Can fix my own car, choose not to. Can fix the random appliance of your choice. Hardcore introvert in person, which is why I love online. Lifelong science fiction fan. Read constantly. Scalzi is my favorite author, because he mixes exactly the right amount of snark into his writing. Together with a guy 30+ years, married since it was legal. Own a home in CA and don't plan to leave unless I immigrate to another country.
