A thing that frustrates me is that I had to become an adult before learning that natives of the northern American continent were at least as socially advanced, and possibly more advanced, than the European invaders.
We have scientists, politicians, people who talk about politicians, art, artists, scientists who study nature, people who enjoy nature, and artists who take pictures of or draw nature.
We're intersectional that way.

I thought that this neotropic cormorant was trying to take off and fly away. But the cormorant just expended a tremendous amount of energy to move about 50 feet then settled down again. Maybe it was just getting some exercise.
