I got asked in my #DeepWork session what I would do to βbe more intentionalβ this week. I answered honestly, that I couldnβt care less about it, I have three days off this week and itβs Christmas week next week, so I refuse to βget intentionalβ over work!
This year, I went to Haida Gwaii (BC) to perform. I met Alison Keery, who told me she teaches dance at Haida Gwaii schools. That led to an instant friendship. We visited the iconic Balance Rock, where we mixed Highland and Bhangra dances to build cross-cultural bridges and give hope.

@lolgop Remember all the people who got banned from the bird-site when they criticized or made fun of Jack Dorsey?
Yeah, I don't either, because it didn't happen. Jack's skin wasn't tissue thin.
Guy was far from perfect as Twitter's former CEO, but he wasn't a tin-pot dictator either who would ban the acc'ts of anyone who said or posted anything critical of himself.
Twitter - Reason for Optimism?
Thoughts on #Twitter
I'm wondering if we're seeing #BirdSite breathing its last agonal breaths...
It feels like maybe the public in general is kind of over #Shitposting #Trolling and #Abuse.
Musk seems increasingly desperate to post something so outrageous that it will drive people to engage on the platform. More and more people are starting to recognize what's happening and not playing that game. Or maybe that's just me being hopeful...
Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech. Russiaβs War on Ukraine
βRussia, that has been consistently destroying its own civil society, illustrates this very well. But the countries of the democratic world have long turned a blind eye to this.β
β The democratic world has grown accustomed to making concessions to dictatorships. And that is why the willingness of the Ukrainian people to resist Russian imperialism is so important.β

Melon HUSK: reputation brand damage and security risk π§΅
1/. Just seen a 𧡠on the bird site from John Aravosis that articulates some of the thoughts I have been having, but less so the fears.
βElon Muskβs problem is that while heβs successfully cultivating a MAGA/neo-Nazi fanbase on Twitter, heβs just lost 60% of the country that will now never purchase a @Tesla, and will vocally oppose any government support for SpaceXβ
There are many people struggling at this time. It is always worth remembering and being mindful of that. Christmas has become such a consumer materialistic endeavour. Too many people will go into debt to buy things that people do not really need.
Maybe itβs time to celebrate Christmas with good food, good company and joy. That is what Christmas should be about. Not unnecessary gifts.

@lpdahl2 I never expect anything less from Chunk Toad.
After all, if Rethugs are held accountable for their crimes, whoever will he keep booking for his useless driveling show?
So Marjorie Terminal Grievances is now calling for insurrection 2.0, but with guns.
Egads, these mediocre, angry, lost white folks.
Transphobia and COVID denial in a single tweet. Words like these get people killed. We so urgently need to build more just and accountable online spaces.
