Work from home has been a huge boon to employment access for disabled people.

β€œThe jobless rate for disabled workers β€” typically in double digits and 12.3% two years ago β€” dropped to 5.8% in November … the lowest rate for people with disabilities since record-keeping began in 2008.”

@denebeim @subrote Other positives of Brazil for transpeople:

- Free HRT at SUS (our NHS).
- HRT at 16
- Change legal name and gender marker by self-identification.
- Many forms of ID don't include gender markers.
- De facto informed consent model for HRT. (in recent years)
- Easily available cyproterone as an anti-androgen.

However hormonal blockers are still experimental so getting access can be hard.

Mastodon is so active! The supply of up-to-date news from trusted sources is off the charts. Reminds me of a site I used to know.

While Gloria’s lifeless body lay in the corner, Terrence sat and calmly admired his haul. He felt no remorse. The woman had been a fool to trust him, and she’d deserved her fate.

@therobburgessshow It's been tainted and CEO or not, he's still the owner which means everyone else is still beholden to him. Stepping aside doesn't mean there will be no more interference.

First time hearing about Kenny Log-ins. Apparently he was an early advocate of two-factor authentication.

@asmasca @therobburgessshow My personal opinion has been that the longer people remain on Twitter, the more time Musk has to throw things against a wall and one of those things might stick. Then he has a viable extremist platform. A new CEO being one of those things. I can't see key people who moved here returning. I certainly would not, now we've had our eyes opened to the potential of the Fediverse. Twitter's corporate or private owned walled proprietary platform is yesterday's internet.

Can I just say that, as an autistic person, landing the seat behind the column at the company Christmas party is literally The. Best. Thing.

I don't understand why people bring flowers to someone who is dying in the hospital

Please take note, if you come to visit me on my death bed, I want weed and alcohol...no flowers!

If you need some perspective, browse @auschwitzmuseum or even follow them! Their frequent posts with names, pictures and details of those who died in concentration camps is humbling. It is unfathomable that they could go on posting so far beyond my lifetime. #holocaust #remembered

When you lose a sock in the dryer, it gets reincarnated as a tupperware lid that doesn't fit anything.

I never tire of asking Mormon elders what the missionary position is on different things.

Today, it's -40ΒΊC/-40ΒΊF in the Yukon wilderness around my cabin. Nature is calm, frigid, cold and utterly stunning. The air is freezing but still very refreshing for the lungs. In this natural environment, I danced to create warmth. I'm dispatching the good vibe to the world. Watch on YouTube: youtu.be/ezVd6pBiTtw

That's how people react when they find me on other platforms 🧑. Thanks for your love, folks πŸ™πŸ½

Stop hating on lazy people. We didn't even do anything.

14th Amendment, Section 3 bars anyone from holding office who β€œengaged in insurrection" against the U.S.

This isn't some obscure provision. A New Mexico judge used it against an insurrectionist county commissioner.

Why shouldn't it also apply to Trump?

Y'all are chasing working artists away from this place by harping on how "sad" and "pathetic" it is for them to hope for a large follower count here.

It's not about attention. It's about their bottom line. More followers means more commissions, more customers in their online shops, more direct exposure to people with hiring power. It's honestly really cruel to keep acting like they want adulation when really they just want to pay rent.

They have ample reason to mourn what they built.
