Too many words. Come at me with fewer words.

Okay, this time I want to know about weird #books! What is a book (or books) you liked or found interesting but would have a hard time recommending to the average reader because it's just too "out there"? I need more #weird books!

@bookstodon

I'm at the library, and three women are loudly discussing the trials of their kitchen renovations, and I'm gonna need bail money.

Dear fellow #TwitterRefugees, I haven’t been here long, but want to offer a word of warning: If you begin your post with β€œBuckle up,” β€œI don’t know who needs to hear this,” or β€œLouder for those in the back,” #Mastodon will delete the contents of your phone and schedule a lawn care crew to do five hours of leaf blowing next door.

I’m an immigrant and need y’all to stand with DACA immigrants. Dems have 15 days to pass DACA protections. We cannot leave DACA’s fate to MAGA extremism. Please raise your voice.

I am 100% not shitting you when I say scientists named mastodons after their teeth which they thought looked like nipples. β€œMastos” as in breast. β€œodont” as in tooth.
We’re on a website that, in Greek, literally means β€œBooby Tooth.”

Ken and I have been talking about whether or not to post photos of Rai on our social media accounts. We don’t want to expose him to the sort of vitriol and hatred that is possible online, and at the same time, we want to celebrate him, and we want to share images of our family as a way to advocate for same-sex parenting and surrogacy. So we don’t know the answers yet, but I wanted to share where we are with it at the moment, which is weighing all of the different factors at play.

I test-drove a @Tesla@twitter.com a few year’s back. It was wondrous. I wouldn’t be caught dead in one now. I don’t give my money to Trumpers.

Jesus does not approve of [liquor] advent calendars, Doris.

It's -40 temperature outside. There is power outage at my cabin. Asking my candles to be with me all night long.

After a lot of therapy, soul searching and even prayer, your mother and I have decided to become art thieves

Far-Right groups in so-called Canada that led caravan protests last year are now switching to attacking the LGBTQ+ community - and antifascists are mobilizing to counter them.

"We were out again yesterday, December 17, in Brockville, Ontario to protect a drag story hour at their local library. And once again, we outnumbered them from the start, successfully keeping them out of the event and away from LGBTQ+ kids."

If you’re sending angry tweets to a novelty vintage kitty account that just tries to raise money for shelters you need therapy for real. 😞

Today at school, my 5-year-old made himself this Santa costume out of paper and managed to transport it the whole way home. He initially lost the beard in transit but declared--"Don't worry! I made an emergency beard just in case."

And yes, the beard is scotch-taped to his chin.

By way of #introduction - we’re Unseen Japan! We’re a collective of writers/translators creating content about modern day Japan based on original Japanese language sources.
