selfie, eye contact, transition timeline
2019 vs 2023
The contrast in these transition timeline photos is a common thing. The before photo is all the more obvious in how beaten down and miserable a person was before they made the decision to be their true selves, society and haters be damned.
I would never have imagined seeing myself this happy before. It just didn't seem possible. I doubted that I'd ever see myself in a light that I would like, never mind love.
Trans healthcare is selfcare.
Breakfast running about ten minutes late means Emily was literally dying.
The second her bowl hit the floor, she had a miraculous recovery.
I have a theater kid for a cat.
Believe it or not, by end of Twitter 1.0, people could report you for posts like this and you could lose your account for 7 days (or more).
As bad as things are now, I don't miss that ridiculous, AI driven moderation. It sucked multidimensionally.
Last night I found this photo from 1986 in my grandmotherβs belongings. Itβs of me and my brother. Iβd never seen it before.
Everyone always says how much my son looks like my wife, so I was blown away by how much I look like him here. I was just a little bit older than he is now.
My dad left us when I was two. I feel so bad for him that he missed out on what itβs like to be a father to such an exceptional little human.

Ukraine must win this war. I see no other choice, - PM of Finland Sanna Marin. She also added that the current full-scale war could have been avoided if the world's reaction to Russia's occupation of Crimea in 2014 had been tougher and Ukraine had been a NATO member. ππΊβ€οΈπΊπ¦
Realized I didn't do a formal introduction here. I just slipped on in with one of the bird site migrations and jumped onto the #BelieveInFilm thread here.
So here's a formal introduction; I am Jeremy the bear human hybrid from the snowy realm known as Calgary. I'm a landscape photographer who is typically found thumping around the mountains with my 4x5 secured on my back, as one does. I trust in box cameras as well, in case you were worried!
@ScottSoCal @AnEnglishHuman Thank you for both of these for an evening well spent down rabbitholes, forsooth.
I don't show respect to people who disrespect me or hold views antithetical to my existence, and I'm not going to "debate" you about the merits of my existence.
If you think I'm required to do so out of some tortured notion of "free speech" or "civility," I'm going to show you just how little I value your speech by blocking you.
Don't like it? Don't like me? Block me! Otherwise you're just trolling. And I don't care.
Part of the reason we have a labor shortage is because 500,000 people who would have held jobs died from #covid Think about that that while your restaurant isn't open or you have to wait 3 months for a mechanic or a doctor appointment People are dead because as society we couldn't wear cloth over our nose and mouth and turned against life saving #vaccines
