I have a question for people using screen readers (boosts appreciated).
I make jokes and usually use a "*" to differentiate between stuff that is happening and what the person is saying. And sometimes I use square brackets to describe the setting of a scene. For example in this one:

What do people who use screen readers prefer? My phone's voice-over doesn't pronounce quotation marks or square brackets but I do like to make the context clear somehow that's not annoying

I lost a childhood friend today in Bakhmut. Forever young. Rest in peace, friend! I donβt know what to say anymore, thatβs not how we planned to live our lives. π #ArmUkraineNow
Jim Jordan shouldnβt be chair of House Judiciary committee, he should be a defendant in a criminal trial for attempting to overturn the 2020 election. Jan 6 committee notes Jordan was a "significant player" in Trump's coup. I'm older so I remember things. Everything you see happening today should be understood this way:
The top tax rate used to be 90% in order to prevent the really rich from destroying democracy.
The corporate tax rate was 50% because corporations exist to serve society.
AND the inheritance tax was really high to keep family dynasties from gaining power over us.
So... me. Work in aerospace, more space, not as much aero. Can fix my own car, choose not to. Can fix the random appliance of your choice. Hardcore introvert in person, which is why I love online. Lifelong science fiction fan. Read constantly. Scalzi is my favorite author, because he mixes exactly the right amount of snark into his writing.
