Saw a post that said if you posted pictures of cats, you would gain followers, have more engagement and just be happier. I'll bite! LOL Wishful Thinking was a lot of fun to create! So much fun, someone commissioned a piece using their own Siamese #cat and their own #fish. She was tickled with her own personalized version!

The Smithsonian has made over 4 MILLION images open source! You can create, copy, distribute, etc. This is amazing!

i think one of the biggest reccuring flaws i see in people i meet is that they form an opinion or feel entitled to say something about a subject before they even researched this subject properly.
people who claim communism won't work because of ussr don't know that ussr wasn't really communist at all, and there are leftist models of society that are vastly different from it
people who think that blm is a racist organization wanting special rights haven't researched black history
I have a question for people using screen readers (boosts appreciated).
I make jokes and usually use a "*" to differentiate between stuff that is happening and what the person is saying. And sometimes I use square brackets to describe the setting of a scene. For example in this one:

What do people who use screen readers prefer? My phone's voice-over doesn't pronounce quotation marks or square brackets but I do like to make the context clear somehow that's not annoying

I lost a childhood friend today in Bakhmut. Forever young. Rest in peace, friend! I donβt know what to say anymore, thatβs not how we planned to live our lives. π #ArmUkraineNow
So... me. Work in aerospace, more space, not as much aero. Can fix my own car, choose not to. Can fix the random appliance of your choice. Hardcore introvert in person, which is why I love online. Lifelong science fiction fan. Read constantly. Scalzi is my favorite author, because he mixes exactly the right amount of snark into his writing. Together with a guy 30+ years, married since it was legal. Own a home in CA and don't plan to leave unless I immigrate to another country.
