When you catch your fellow airline passenger typing a racist e-mail about you... ๐คฆ SMDH
Hey human behind a screen, I hope you're doing good. Here's a song I wrote about trying to hold a relationship together while experiencing derealization on both sides of the relationship, which led to him being really cold to me and for me to feel extremely insecure amongst other things. It was a hard time, in a better place now. Hope you like the song, and treat your loves ones like lovers, family and friends, never like strangers. โค๏ธ

Yes, I'm going on today about the attempt in ND to ban what they consider to be "sexually explicit" materials. Libraries do not carry porn. Period. Unless they're a pornography archive, in which case children are not allowed inside. What they are deeming porn is anything about LGBTQ people. The existence of LGBTQ people is not inherently sexually explicit. What they really want, is for LGBTQ people to NOT EXIST. Removing books is just the start of erasing LGBTQ people from the public sphere.
Addendum: it's as dastardly as it is clever to label everything with LGBTQ characters living their lives "sexually explicit." First, it makes being LGBTQ sexually explicit, second it primes people to side with the book banners because who wants sexually explicit materials where a kid could get hold of them? It turns librarians into wicked smut peddlers, even though simply being LGBTQ is not inherently sexually explicit, or even inherently sexual.
The critical issues affecting us today don't include 'leftover' classified documents. Both Biden and Pence had confidential data in their possession as a matter of their official duties, whereas Trump absconded with our nation's highest secrets as a private citizen, refused to return them after National Archive and DOJ requests and a raid by the FBI who found many more. That, to me, demonstrates willful defiance of the law.
History should offend. That is how we recognize injustices, atrocities, mistakes, and corruption. But we are now drowning in a sea of what seems to be the rule, not the exception: Widespread foreign corruption in this country's law enforcement agencies. That a select group of people controlled by foreign agents should decide how this country and world operate is beyond reason. A cataclysmic societal event looks inevitable.

I think a new #introduction is in order.
My name is Erin Beatrix. Erin to my friends, Beatrix to my acquaintances. I like video games, mostly indies, but I'm currently playing #FFXIV. I also like #ttrpgs, but it's been a while, and building model #Zoids but that's a pricy hobby. I also post #NSFW because I'm a bit of an exhibitionist.
I'm married (complicated), but polyamorous. Overall pretty lonely, truth be told.
I'm agoraphobic and autistic, have CPTSD, and I forget what spoons look like.
Just to be clear, when the New York Times reported that the FBI saw โno link between Trump and Russiaโ โ a week before the 2016 election โ the FBI agent who was just arrested over ties to Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska was heading up the investigation.

Question: Did you take any classified documents with you from the white house?
Pence: I did not.
This was a FLASHBACK โ November 14, 2022:
ABC News: "Did you take any classified documents with you from the White House?"
Mike Pence: "I did not."
Now a dozen documents were found at his Indiana home.
Lots of Republicans constantly claim thereโs โnothingโ anyone can do about gun violence. They are lying.
Hereโs a list of what factually could be done and work. Every option here is a perfectly legitimate example of something thatโs well-regulated.
To make progress on gun safety, we have to vote out Republicans.
To make progress on climate, we have to vote out Republicans.
To make progress on or even maintain a educational system now, we have to vote out Republicans.
To make progress on reproductive rights or even maintain a basic level of them apparently, we have to vote out Republicans.
Are we seeing a pattern yet?

So... me. Work in aerospace, more space, not as much aero. Can fix my own car, choose not to. Can fix the random appliance of your choice. Hardcore introvert in person, which is why I love online. Lifelong science fiction fan. Read constantly. Scalzi is my favorite author, because he mixes exactly the right amount of snark into his writing.
