Good morning from Dreadful Acres. Just had a fight with my coffee machine because yet again it brewed — contrary to my explicit instructions — a whole coffee without a cup under the spout. Naturally I have taken to my bed to recover from this trying episode. Which is why today’s sunrise is once again photographed through my dirty bedroom window.

The reason why many of you are just hearing about #TyreNichols is that his death does not fit the narrative of the “unarmed black man killed by racist white police officers” headline.

Tyre Nichols was beaten to death by 5 black #Memphis cops during a routine traffic stop.

Reports are that they beat Tyre Nichols until bones were protruding out of his skin. The victim was unrecognizable to his family.

This behaviour cannot be reformed.

@ScottSoCal Yes, the 8086 was packaged as a 40-pin DIP. Intel didn't like ICs with a lot of pins; even 40 pins was way more than they liked.
