2. Incomplete or brief bio
3. 90% of posts are re-hashes of Russian propaganda

Here's an uncomfortable American history fact. While folks often point out that after Jesse Owens won 4 gold medals at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, Hitler refused to shake his hand.

But what happened next? Well, after returning home, Owens & 17 other Black Olympians were denied an invite to the White House. Instead, President Roosevelt only invited white Olympians. And it wasn't until 2016 that the White House finally apologized and invited their descendants to the WH.

I'm a poet, an author, and a teacher. I use my words for a living. And because I use words for a living, I feel like I need to point out something that's painfully obvious to me, and apparently less so to others, particularly journalists. Here it is.

They know what "woke" means.

They don't have any trouble defining it. They've never had trouble defining the exact target of their ridicule, scorn, and hate.

Woke has had several synonyms throughout the decades. Before we were "the woke mob", we were "cucks". And before we were "cucks" we were "snowflakes", and before that, we were "SJWs". Before "SJWs", we were "betas". And before we were "betas", we were "globalists", and before that, we were "libtards". And before we were "libtards", we were "bleeding hearts" and "tree huggers", and before that, we were simply "ni**er-lovers", "Jew-lovers", and "fa**ot-lovers".

All these terms are synonymous in the GOP mind, and it's time we stop pretending that we don't know it.

This is because Twitter Blue privileges their posts in Twitter's relevancy algorithm, ensuring their propaganda achieves more reach.

It also gives them a fancy blue badge.

Russian propagandists aren't the only bad hombres buying Twitter Blue. A few months ago, I discovered that the Taliban are also paying for the service.
