Wife got back from her Catalina hike complaining she didn't see any island foxes and I was like "well, yeah, they have burrows and they know to stay inside them when it rains" and apparently that was not as subtle as I imagined.

@Swede1952 I love clocks that automatically correct for the goofy twice a year clock adjustment. So much so I designed (3d print and electronics and software) my own clock which does this and also accurately follows Internet time. So called 'atomic' clocks (I have several, and a watch) have a ferrite bar antenna and receive radio time signals which encode the time and the semiannual changes. The are atomic only in that atomic clocks are used at the transmitter. 1/2

Throwing this out there again. My roommate and fellow trans woman will be in need of help once I move out. I cannot take her to where I am going. I no longer have the resources to take care of her and getting her on her feet took too long for me because of her situation (but she's almost there.) When I was in Luxembourg this weekend, I saw these embossed markings on crosswalk buttons that show the layout of the crossing. This one shows multiple car lanes, tram tracks and inbetween pedestrian islands. #accessibility

Had to explain to a friend about credit unions yesterday, their funds are at a "nickel-and-dime-you-to-death" big name #bank. Surprised not more people know about credit unions. (also NCUA insured, but funds are collected from members, nonprofit).
