I have been trying to come to terms with the fact that my nice, comfortable adulthood that I scraped and clawed to arrange for myself after a disaster childhood is just not going to happen - we are at war against fascists, like the whole world is from time to time.

I'm going to count myself fortunate that I'm not one of the people with their heads in the sand, and be grateful that I won't have to look back at this wartime and say "Oops, I should have done more!"

@Miriamm @ScottSoCal Conferences like this typically book stuff at least a couple of years ahead, so I assume they were locked in before DeSantis decided to pave his White House run on the bodies of the LGBTQ+ community. It’s unlikely Disney would let them change venues without paying through the nose, assuming there was even another venue available.
