You know that it's been a long time since you accomplished a major goal when you blow right past its anniversary date without even knowing it. Couple weeks late to the party, but March 4th marked my 11th anniversary since I decided to quit smoking and I'm damn proud of it. 😀

Hey it's 51⁰ here. What a warm morning. I am trying to decide whether to drive to Branson

πŸ’œ New Zealand vs TERFs

The horrible TERF woman fled back to the UK. She never even made it to Wellington, and there was no longer any event to protest there. But people still showed up en masse to stand up for trans rights πŸ’œ

It's my birthday!
If anyone wants to help out an unemployed immigrant trans woman, I could really do with the donations right about now.
Thanks.

Pigeons are trying to take over my balcony so I put some sparkly streamers out to deter them. Unfortunately, these are not regular pigeons. They are city pigeons so they thought this was fabulous and have taken the streamers to try and build giant sparkly pigeon rave nests.

LB: honestly this is the best comparison for "asking cis people to put their pronouns in their bio" i've seen

The biggest form of protest against the antiqued backwards republican bills against our #LGBTQIA community is to be unapologetically queer AF!

Be colorful, be bright, be shiny, be glittery, be proud, be loud.

Nothing gets under their skin more than seeing us fly our β€œfreak” flag so effervescently out in the streets.

Several years later, I ran into the artist again, at the gallery, and told him my story of woe. I regretted I'd never be able to afford one of his pieces. He took me out to his truck, where he had 6 pieces that he was delivering to the gallery - told me I could have any one I wanted, for $500. I was stunned - and of course I jumped on it. I picked this one.

When I moved to Santa Barbara, in '97, I went to Art On The Beach, an every-Sunday fair. There was an artist doing sculpture in metal and glass that I loved, but I decided it to hold off until I had the space for it. The most expensive one there was about $400. Next time I saw a piece by him it was selling in a gallery for $15,000. I couldn't possibly afford that, and I kicked myself for passing it up before.
