A year ago, egg producer Cal-Maine pocketed $39.5 million in quarterly profit. This time around it was $323 million, a 718% increase.

But I thought all those expensive eggs were inflation and bird flu? ktla.com/news/money-smart/egg-

Truth be told I do sometimes use big words that I don't fully understand just to make myself sound cleverer and more ambidextrous.

"I've always felt like I don't fit," the young woman said.
"Fit where?" the witch said.
"In..." The young person gestured at their whole body. "Can you ..?"
"I can't make you fit what you have. I can make what you have fit you."
"Really?"
"It worked for me."
The young man smiled.

Just a reminder that "I identify as..." jokes are inherently dismissive of a real issue. Like "politically correct" and what has become of "woke", they are designed to push opinion that the root issue being mocked is not a real concern or something to be taken seriously.

Don't use these jokes.

Having doubled the alliance's border with Russia, I finally feel I've earned this.

My sister’s Soros backed leftist ANTIFA dog just knocked my coffee off the table with its radical agenda tail.

From @owillis

β€œTrump is the corrupt criminal racist the right has rallied behind and continues to support. There is no better reflection of the conservative movement’s perverse core than the elevated role of Donald J. Trump within its ranks.”

Party crasher.

You can't see it in the photo, but this house sparrow was hanging with a bunch of red-winged blackbirds a couple months ago. This morning when I started to process this photo, I thought one of the blackbirds was in the upper right-hand corner. But after looking closer, discovered it was yet another interloper - a brown-headed cowbird. I cropped it out.

The get away.

I made a deliberated attempt to get a picture of this red bellied woodpecker leaving the bird feeder and still messed it up. I had him at the feeder, but he flew out of focus almost immediately. I attempted to sharpen it with both Topez Sharpen AI and Focus Magic. My minds eye gave Sharpen the edge, but I'm still not satisfied.

Anyhow, the bird found a peanut and you can almost track his path by the debris still falling in his wake.

If I could get Brian Eno to write some music, maybe β€˜Music for dogs in slowly falling snow’ I’d have a winner with these two. #SproutTheBerner #teamclover #dogsofmastodon #dogs #snow

Two Portraits. Surreal portraits of a mother and child, constructed with torn paper. They seem to come from another era, perhaps from a farm in the 1800s. They are each staring at you, the portrait taker. Handmade paper collage.

It took 500 years, and generational trauma, but thanks to Native children. The Pope renounced the doctrine of discovery stating "It doesn't align with the churches veiws." So glad it took 500 years and a new Pope to say this...πŸ™„πŸ˜³

@kevinrns @BlackRonin72 multitheistic religions were were far more tolerant as due to multiple gods they allowed different views

This came to me from a trans friend I know really, really well. For years now. And from that, I can tell you that there actually is a trans agenda. And it is this:

To walk through the world without getting their rights, bodies, and lives taken and attacked by people who hate them for no reason at all.

That’s it.

Today, San Antonio and the world honor the legacy of CΓ©sar ChΓ‘vez, who fought tirelessly for the rights and dignity of farmworkers.

This week, I was proud to join U.S. Rep. Tony CΓ‘rdenas and Senator Bob Menendez in a resolution to commemorate his life and enduring impact.
