So, now we’ve got police going to the wrong address and shooting innocent civilians, and white civilians shooting innocent black kids who ring the wrong doorbell. The persistence of hate narratives and shoot-first-ask-questions-later knee jerk reactions show how absolutely dangerous an #NRA fueled gun society is. Their answer: More Guns! Because “guns aren’t the problem. People are the problem.” My question: So why in God’s name would you give guns to the problem?

@1finekitty @Frankc1450 It seems crazy given how huge the place is, but Disney could and SHOULD dismantle Walt Disney World and move the entire thing north to a less fascist state — particularly given the absolute disasters climate change will increasingly wreak on Florida over the coming decades. And if Disney left, others would quickly follow suit.

It would be delightful to watch DeSantis explain to Floridians how he single-handedly destroyed Florida’s tourist industry.

I’ve read a lot about the re-emergence of Tulare Lake in Southern #California due to our incredible rains.

But this was new to me: “This vast aquatic ecosystem was paradise to the people who lived there for thousands of years, but it disappeared in a geologic blink of an eye following the arrival of Euro-Americans into California.”

The lake has re-emerged a number of times, “following the motto that ‘You Can’t Keep a Good Lake Down.’”
