Accidentally took a selfie.. and from a low double chin inducing angle with poor lighting.
Well not so much double chins as much one rather large undefined chin, or no chin as it were.
Anyway, what I'm saying is phone cameras are dangerous.. be safe out there.

My mgmt at work has officially lost their collective mind. We now have to create PPTX slides highlighting what tickets we closed during the preceding week and at the same time reducing the amount of admin time that we charge.

Just had a guy and his two kids in the shop, the oldest was 4 1/2, she told me so proudly ... She had a beautiful lavender cardigan on and matching socks ... I told her I loved that colour, we had a little chat about purple and all the purple things we have ... Then she asked me "are you a girl?" ... I looked at her dad and said can I let her know, he said yes

I crouched down to her level and said "that's a nice question you asked" ... and then said "I was born a boy, yuck, and for many reasons I always felt like a girl" ... Her eyes lit up, and I got a huge hugz and she whispered in my ear, "you're a girl"

I am more than likely the first trans person she has met, I made her feel comfortable and listened to ... one at a time ... Her dad thanked me for being kind.

Never dismiss a childs question, you might feel they are abrupt, they are not, they just want to know

First impression are important

Didn’t get to finish grocery shopping because the store had the AC turned up too high and people were walking too slowly. Fortunately my husband is getting it done while I wait in the car so I don’t hit overstimulation.

Before I knew I was #ActuallyAutistic I’d be beating myself up for being β€œlazy” and β€œdramatic.” Now I’m just attending to my sensory needs and remembering THAT IS OKAY πŸ’œ

Hi #MedMastodon! I migrated my account from another instance. I didn't realize all my posts would poof. 😿

I guess that means it's time for another #Introduction post! My name is Britt (she/they) & I am an MD/PhD student at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. I am finishing my PhD in neuroscience, investigating novel chaperone protein (Hsp90) inhibitors in the treatment of Alzheimer's Disease and trying to prevent dementia. To the very, very white person late last night...

You are at a taco festival, in downtown Los Angeles, after sundown. I know you asked me your question because I was one of the few other white people there.

Don't yell at me to "speak English" when the answer to your question ("Where are we?") is "La plaza de cultura y artes".

This right here,

Whenever I hear about their arguments for β€œhardening schools” I think: β€œYou motherfuckers wouldn’t fund HVAC equipment to get schools ventilated during Covid. You’ll harden Day Country Prep and leave everyone else to die. I see you.”

Today's queer indie author review: RD Noland's The Curious Thing About the Apartment Vent:

"There were so many things to enjoy about this story, from the meet-cute of the eavesdropping via air vent, to the fun side characters, to the developing relationship... It was hard to put this one down."

The three muralists were appraising a wall on Alabama Street last week, when one noticed a young person on a skateboard watching them from a distance.

It was 19-year-old Ángel Velazquez, who was skating home when he spotted the trio planning a mural at the Latino Task Force Hub near 19th and Alabama streets.

Agana was there β€” alongside Anthony Jimenez and their mural mentor, JosuΓ© Rojas. They talked with the young Velazquez and decided to teach him their craft.

A book filled with killer jokes is a DieJest

I woke up crying this morning due to the loss of my pooch over a month ago. Waking up crying is a unique kind of experience. We were very close. These things just don't go away over night. I hesitated to post this because it's not flowery; but these are tears born from the joy of our time together - which I will always be thankful for. I'm thankful for these tears, because without them my life would not have been as beautiful.

#introduction

Howdy! I’m Flint and I was known as the annoying kid who wouldn’t stop talking about #transformers in school. I jokingly refer to myself as a Freelance β€œWhatever You’ll Pay Me To Do” but I mainly write social media posts for events and create table albums for sculpture artists chronicling their process.

I’m a #trans man from West Virginia and in my free time, when I’m not taking my Transformers figures hiking, I’m usually annotating and writing my thoughts about sci-fi books.

For those wondering, β€²β€²how did i do it?":
I boiled 10L of water, added 2 tablespoons of vinegar, 1 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate, two cups of coke, and half cup of lemon juice, then stirred well. Waited 3 minutes, put the pan in the solution for 45 minutes, then added a quarter cup of chlorine bleach to the mixture. Then I brushed it with a firm toothbrush and put it back into the liquid for another 25 minutes. I took it out, rinsed it, and it looked exactly the same, so I threw it away, and went and bought a new one.
