#AskingAutistics A lot of us have grown up being told to "be more concise", to not be "overly detailed" in how we explain things. Do you feel like that has impacted your ability to understand how to explain to people how you feel?

I've noticed that due to being told this, when people ask me how I am, I just simplify it so much that it ends up being "fine thanks!" even when I'm actually feeling more: "I'm actually really struggling right now"

I'm a senior with immuno compromised lungs. I always wear N-95 but somehow still, maybe due to a moment of lapse of judgement (???), I got infected June of last year when they said that the variant then is just "like" a flu. Well, almost a year later the said "flu" is still with me and I can't even complete a flight of stairs without having bouts of shortness of breath!

Yeah, the covid pandemic is over!
