There are tens of thousands of #ActuallyAutistic humans living in fear right now in both Gaza and Israel.
Different types of fear, to be sure, but fear nonetheless.
As an autistic advocate and activist I teach people, daily, that triggers that dysregulate us may look "small" to an outsider, but that to us it's a much bigger deal.
It saddens me how much of the discourse around Israel-Palestine has totally rejected that there are autistic people actually living out this nightmare.
It hurts me to see so many people absolutely reject the humanity of the other side based on nothing but one's own preference or virtue signaling.
Our autistic comrades are living in a state of extreme dysregulation at the moment in that part of the world. All of whom wish that they can find a moment of peace.
Let's not forget that and let's not silence the voices of our autistic comrades who are Palestinian and Israeli. The ACTUAL events are traumatic enough for anyone, let alone an autistic person. More pain and dysregulation need not be added by people who use their lives as an activity to talk about.

Columbus, Ohio is wiping out $335 million of medical debt accrued by more than 340K moderate-income residents by using money from the American Rescue Plan.
Thanks, Joe!
If you're thinking of accusing an Autistic of being pedantic, just don't.
I'm feeling hermit-like the last few days, and I'm trying to figure out why. I resent anyone trying to talk to me, or be in the same room with me. I resent my to-do list. I resent having to go to work. I resent e-mails in my work inbox.
This just flipped on about a week ago, and I can't figure out why.
Something new to share today. β€οΈ π Hope you enjoy!

I've been working my way through the podcast Ologies (which is AWESOME) and I finally got myself to listen to the space junk episode (which I had been avoiding because, well, I'm extremely aware of that and I figured it would be stressful).
Turns out that the host actually quoted from an article I wrote back in 2020 in the episode! How totally cool!! https://theconversation.com/spacexs-starlink-satellites-are-about-to-ruin-stargazing-for-everyone-149516
This GOP Rep wouldn't condemn #Trump's call for #GenMilley to be executed.
Then CNN's Abby Phillips let him prattle on, give a mealymouthed response & both sides the #AtochasticTerrorism. This is pathetic & part of the reason why the #DeathThreats & #WitnessIntimidation continue.
Bottom Line: Republicans are encouraging threats of violence. When the media doesn't press them on this support of political violence, they are complicit.

Biden sounded an alarm yesterday. He declared an emergency. No American president has ever given a speech like this.
Everyone needs to hear it, but especially the editors running the major news organizations. https://sfba.social/@cynblogger/111145885460313731
As we face yet another Govt shutdown I reflect on these absurdities. In the United States:
β’1 Senator can block all military confirmationsβbut it takes 60 Senators to overrule him
β’1 Speaker can shut down the entire governmentβbut it takes 218 House Reps to overrule him
β’1 bought SCOTUS Justice can strip away rights for hundreds of millions of peopleβand it's virtually impossible to remove him
This is not a functioning democracy. It is GOP exploitation. Vote GOP Out. Reform our government.
