@ScottSoCal They're testing the strings they've spent years putting in place.
Reminder that you can now use shame to dissuade those "on the fence" from voting for #Trump
Don't argue policy with people who are disengaged from politics but still vote. Point out that it's ridiculous and un-American to consider a felon for the presidency.
Is this slightly dirty and manipulative? You betcha!
Is it better than a fascist felon POTUS?
Yes.
Did you know that Democrats have consistently voted to PROTECT CONSUMERS from price-gouging corporations? They believe that we deserve affordable prices and fair treatment, not exploitation.
WE MADE IT TO A YEAR!!!

"The nightmare is over"
- a mom returns from Russian captivity and hugs her son
They haven't seen each other for more than two years.
The mom was at Azovstal. Little Dmytro was returned to Ukraine from temporarily occupied territories. His birthday was on May 24th, and he got the best present there is.

TRUMP WILL NEVER BE PROSECUTED FOR HIS WORST CRIME
He joined Putinβs attack on our democracy and remains committed to finishing the job.

The other day at work, in an online meeting, a fuckhead said the phrase βWell, itβs probably because sheβs a woman and she doesnβt know what the hell sheβs talking aboutβ, referring to an external contractor.
Iβm not out, but I stopped the meeting and said βYou donβt get to talk like that in front of me. Now, I have to call HR.β
There was laughter. To which I replied sternly, βIt is not funny. Do better.β
There was no laughter then.
I donβt put up with that shit. Misogyny, any kind of trans- or queer- based phobia, racism. None. Thatβs how you ally - you speak up. You challenge the notion that these fuckers are in a safe place. You DO have power to create change. Be the voice for the voiceless.
Afterwards, two of the other attendees reached out to me to thank for my courage to stand up to one of the βcool kidsβ. I donβt need thanks, I need people to be better.
BE BETTER.
Taking this right out into its own little thread, because I feel like I threadjacked @weirdofhermiston's original points. (sorry!)
I came of age in the 90s, in this weird time post-AIDS-crisis but pre-gay-kisses-on-TV. In wider media and culture, who could call themselves gay and who shouldn't be claiming that seemed to revolve around whether you were currently in a physical relationship that was considered a same-sex one.
On the other hand, literally nobody in my IRL vicinity was out. It was such a prudish place that even rumors about a girl's sexuality would get her mocked at school-wide pep rallies. So how in the world would a gay kid even really know they were gay? let alone participate in queer culture?
Obviously, half of that is getting rid of the cruel sexual repression.
But the other half is acknowledging you don't have to be sexual at all -- currently or ever -- to be queer.
If Republicans are going to accuse Biden of weaponizing the Justice system, then:
1) They better damn well have better evidence than an independent grand jury indicted Trump, Trump got a fair trial, and an independent jury found him guilty on all charges, and
2) They better damn well reject the Project 2025 framework and Trump's promises to weaponize the Justice system.
Every accusation is a confession for the GOP.
@randahl When a US businessman says that falsifying business records is no big deal itβs probably a good idea to look very closely at his own business records.
